A fanzine is an independently published magazine centered around a single theme, created in collaboration with fanfiction writers and artists.
No, it’s not required, but it’s encouraged if you want the full Hollanov experience. We purposely chose the time period between Heated Rivalry and The Long Game for the content of our zine, so that show-only fans don’t feel left out.
We require that you are 18+ since the source material deals with explicit content.
The zine will be a physical A5, full color zine.

We plan to invite several guest artists for this project.
Since the source material contains a lot of NSFW content, some of it is unavoidable. However, we ask that all art and fics remain at a mature rating rather than being outright explicit. If there is enough interest, we will create a digital NSFW add-on.
This is a charity zine. We will donate all profits to a charity that supports LGBTQ+ advocacy in sports.
The main focus will be Hollanov, but you’re more than welcome to include other characters from the series in your art or fics, as long as Hollanov remains the primary focus (ex: outsider POVs on the Hollanov relationship).
The theme of the zine is to create works for the 3 years between Heated Rivalry and the Long Game. During this time, Shane and Ilya are in a relationship, but Ilya is still playing for Boston or transitioning to Ottawa. We chose this specific period to ensure that both book readers and show-only fans can enjoy the zine.
We ask that all works generally stay within canon. Since the year before Ilya officially moves to Ottawa isn’t explored extensively in the books, we chose this time period because it gives contributors the most room to play and interpret.
All contributors are guaranteed a free digital copy of the zine. If funds permit, they will also be compensated with a free physical bundle. The remaining profit will be donated.
Not at all! We welcome applicants of all experience levels!
Yes, you may apply for multiple roles. However, you will only be accepted for one role.
Yes! Please make sure provide a clean and high-quality scan of your work, scanning in 600dpi or more are highly advised.
